Something that is incredibly important to internet marketing is finding a niche you can talk about. Finding one that actually matters to you and is congruent to your core values and message. People will use the word passionate about, but passion can also come later. The secret to a niche is something that you can see yourself creating content for for a long time to come!

What follows is 3 quick tips to picking a niche that matters to you and what you should do to prepare yourself. A niche is incredibly important as you will build your brand around that niche. Aligning your core values and your niche will be the thing that sets you apart from the rest. It will show people WHY they should work with you.

Your Niche Should Be Evergreen

What the heck does that even mean? Evergreen? It was a confusing term to me the first time I heard it. What this means, quite simply, is that it needs to be something that people will always want, and remains quite timeless.

The problem with something like this is that an evergreen niche will also have a lot of competition. Don’t worry though. If you prepare properly you will quickly be seen as the expert in that niche. Evergreen niches are quite easy to figure out. Just ask yourself what are things that people are always looking for or always want!? The big ones are always the same; “How do I lose weight and keep it off?”, or “How do I make money Online, without losing my home?”, and the one I like the best, “How do I grow a list of hungry buyers?”.

Become An Express Expert

This tip is pure gold! I had never thought about this, and what it really meant until a couple of weeks ago. I heard a marketing expert say this and it dawned on me that it is what I had been doing but didn’t have a name for it.

So what is an express expert? An express expert is a person that takes a couple of weeks and studies a niche, or a topic within a niche. Do you want to know something amazing? Almost NO ONE does this! After you make the effort to do this, you will know more than 99% of the internet marketers out there. This one trick will give you a HUGE advantage when it comes to creating content!

The only way a prospect is ever going to buy from you, is because they trust you. They also need to see you as an expert in the problem they have. You gather all the information, siphon through it, throw out the BS, collect the common threads, and then put it together in a simple format for your prospects.

Make Sure It Works, By Using It Yourself

How can you expect anyone to trust you, or buy from you if you aren’t USING THE PRODUCT YOURSELF? Anything I ever promote I have bought and used myself, or know someone who has. If I recommend it, you can be guaranteed, the product will deliver as I say it will. My reputation is MY BRAND! I am true to my word and will not promote garbage.

This is a line in the sand I will not compromise, and anyone I work with has to have the same line. If you are a schemer, looking to get rich quick, or want to exploit others, you are in the wrong place. However, if you are serious about making money online, and growing a lucrative list of engaged buyers, and willing to be honest and have high integrity you are in the right place.

The long and short of it is, if you have the product, are using the product, and it’s working for you, it gives you personal testimony for your promotions.

The Bonus Today, is Branding YOU

When you are first starting out it is most important to do what is called content bridging! YOU have to sell YOU! You are the product at the end of the day. Once you learn where you stand, what you want to teach people and how you want to grow your business, you have to make that the forefront of all of your marketing. Once people know you, and trust you, you make recommendations of the products and tools you are using.

This eliminates that sleazy sale feel of emails, or articles. You are not constantly pitching someone. You have a relationship with them, and they are real people and you are a real person.
